Sent to study Tue planet NASA Insight the Interior Exploration Using Seismic Investigations Jiodesi and Heat Transport (Interior Exploration Using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport- INSIGHT), landed on November 26, 20l8 surface Tue planet.
  • To reach the surface of Mars, Insight traveled in space for about seven months and during this time it covered approximately 300 million miles.
  • For the first time, two experimental satellites followed a space station and monitored it. Both of them were following six thousand miles behind Satellite Insight.
  • This is the 21st Mars mission launched by America .
  • Insight, NASA's first spacecraft to fly to Mars after ' Curiosity Rover ' in 2012 .
  • It will study the planet Mars surface for the next two years.
  • Insight landed on the Elisium Planitia, a flat space that was easy to fit in a seamometer.
  • This vehicle was launched through Atlas V Rocket from the Wendenburg Air Force Base in California . It is notable that this is the first mission to be launched from the West Bank. Earlier, most interplanetary missions were launched from the Kennedy Space Center (Florida) , located on the eastern coast of America .
  • This NASA mission will help scientists to get information about the construction of rocky planets like Mars, Earth and Moon.

Insight Features

  • To study the inner structure of Mars, Insight will use the semimometer and gather information about its internal condition.
  • This vehicle weighs 880 lb (360 kg) .
  • Several types of sensible devices have been set up for the collection of data in Insight.
  • In this, a highly seismometer has been installed for earthquake testing on Mars. This semmometer has been prepared by Frances National Space Center.
  • This vehicle, powered by solar energy and battery, is designed to work for 26 months.
