Ministry of Transport and Highways has issued notices to include 'Quadricycle' as a 'non-transport' vehicle under Motor Vehicles Act 1988.
      • Quadricycle is a vehicle whose size is like a three-wheeler, but it has four tires and is fully covered like a car.
      • It has a three-wheeler engine.
      • It is a cheap and safe way of transport to maintain contact with the last mile.
      • Under the law, Quadrisakil was allowed to use only for transport, but it has now been made eligible for non-transportation.

Carpet without the status of 'export excellence' found to Bhadohi

      • The tag of 'Export Excellence' has been provided to Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh, famous for hand-made rugs all over the world.
      • After getting Bhadohi's Towns of Exception Excellence, the city's makers were asked to buy modern machines, improve the infrastructure and attract global buyers to organize fairs and exhibitions in various parts of the world, from the Central Government to the financial Will get help.
      • Bhadohi has provided this status to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) working under the Ministry of Commerce.

      • Other cities receiving this rating include Tirupur, Ludhiana, Kanur, Karur, Dewas, Indore, Bhilwara, Surat, Kanpur, Ambur, Jaipur and Srinagar.
