The Ministry of Tourism of Government of India is organizing International Tourism Mart in Agartala of Tripura from November 22 to 24. It is organized every year with the cooperation of Central Tourism Department, Tripura Government and North Eastern States.

What is International Tourism Mart?

This is the seventh edition of International Tourism Mart.
This year Tourism Mart's theme Adventure Tourism has been kept.

Its aim is to highlight the tourism prospects of the North Eastern Region in the domestic and international markets.
This Tourism Mart offers tourism business related to the eight communities in the North-Eastern states to meet the related communities and entrepreneurs together.

41 tourists from 18 countries are also participating in this tourism mart.
These include Australia, Canada, China, France, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, UAE and the United States.
The suppliers of tourism products of the North Eastern Region get a chance to reach out to international and domestic buyers.
In the North-Eastern States, the International Tourism Mart is organized alternately.
Earlier, International Tourism Mart has been held in Guwahati, Tawang, Shillong, Gangtok and Imphal.
The sixth International Tourism Mart was held in Guwahati in December 2017.

The objective of organizing International Tourism Mart is to present the possibility of tourism in the region in front of domestic and international markets.
